Patience

The definition of patience changes over time. As a child being patient is asking our parents for something and waiting until they determine the right time. Sometimes our parents decide not to give us what we want be abuse it is not good for us. God is our Father. We ask him for things and must wait patiently. God always answers. However, the answer is not always what we want but is what is best for us.

Exciting Celebration

She is going to Jerusalem. Almost everyone She knows is going. Oh to see the torches lit at night by each tent like thousands of stars. Mary’s boy will be presented at the temple! Why do days of joy and excitement go so fast!! The last several months had gone so slow. The women travelled as a group and the men as a group only coming together in Jerusalem. Separating again in the Temple. Mary and Joseph’s son was presented at the temple. He seemed different somehow, more serious and intense. The festival was all she had expected and more. Although a curious thing happened when it was time to leave. She saw Jesus enter the Temple and disappear. She thought he was saying a quick goodbye to someone in the temple. They had traveled at least a day when it was discovered Jesus was not among the men or women. Joseph and Mary returned to Jerusalem and found Jesus talking with the scribes. Not just talking but speaking with knowledge and insight far beyond his years.

Power of Prayer

Prayer is powerful yet we seldom pray. Prayer can be as simple as “God is Good” to a heartfelt conversation with the Trinity. Sometimes I need guidance from my Father, support from my Brother/Friend, or encouragement from my Mentor. I find all in God. May God inspire all of us to build a solid relationship with Him, with Him as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen
