Each day we make choices. We know right from wrong, good choices from bad choices. Only with God’s ever abundant Love and Grace can we have the strength to make the right choices in a world where the wrong choices are praied and rewarded. Each day I seek God’s strength and guidance. I am ever greatful that I am so Loved that He never leaves my side.
Starting Over in the New Year
Most people start fresh when a New Year begins. It is a chance to begin again. I want to move forward in the new year but I do not want to forget all the mis-steps, mistakes, challenges or sorrows of 2014. I want to remember that the Lord held me up, picked me up, carried me and consoled me as He always has. 2014 was no different. Thank You, Holy Trinity!
Searching for Hope in a Thunderstorm
I love thunderstorms! They remind me of the beauty and the power of God. The light streaking across the sky, jumping from cloud to cloud and the sound of the rumbling thunder announcing that the heavens are open. I love the smell of the air during and after the storm the smell of renewal and hope. Thank you my Lord for thunderstorms.
The arrogance of the created
God sent His only son to save us, those He created. He knew we in our arrogance would always demand proof of His Love. He owes us no proof He is the Creator. What would have happened if we would have laid down our lives for Christ and saved Christ from the cross. God owes us nothing yet gives endlessly. We owe God everything yet seldom spend a quiet moment in His presence. If I were the only sinner in the world Christ would still have died on the cross. I am humbled and ashamed. I am also very loved.
Darkest Hour
At my darkest hour Christ shows a glimmer of light beaconing me towards Him. His warmth and strength secure me for all that is to come. Thank You Lord Jesus.
Creation
Lord you create a cathedral by showing the sun through the clouds that create the snow. The vision was beautiful, thank you my Creator and Father.
Hope at Christmas
Each year my quest for Hope is renewed with the reminder of Christ’s advent into this world.
